Utility

  • Arizona Public Service Commision's proposed solar thermal cooling = 16 cents/kWh
  • Salt River Project incentive for solar water heating (up to $500,000) = $0.50/installed kWh of energy savings
  • San Diego Gas & Electric solar water heating incentives for electricity or natural gas offset, capped at $75,000:
    • Electricity Offset = $1,500 x Solar Orientation Factor (SOF, typically a value of 1) x SRCC kWh Savings Rating
    • Natural Gas Offset = $1,500 x SOF x SRCC Therms Savings Rating

State

  • Solar America Incentive for PV = 39 cents/kWh for 5 years, 1 MW cap
  • Other state incentives for solar themal, PV and wind products may also apply -- see DSIRE website for details

Federal

  • Solar thermal and PV products for commercial buildings = 30% Business Investment Tax Credit from the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (equipment must be rated and certified by the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation)
  • Wind products are eligible for Federal Production Tax Credits
